Tidy external Rheem HWC installation
November 23, 2015This mains pressure Rheem hot water cylinder replaced an old internal 135 low pressure. If you have the space outside and are upgrading or replacing your existing hot water cylinder, why not explore the external option? Especially if you need more storage, this is the absolute solution. Plus its only 20% more in cost than the normal replacement in the same position. At a standard average rate of $2000 that’s only $200 more!
This installation was done by Nick the plumber. The quality and experience is clearly shown here, unlike many substandard installations we see these days.
- Using copper benders is a skill that many plumbers have lost, it reduces the cost to the client as less fittings and time is required. It also reduces the likelihood for leaks as joints are kept to a minimum.
- Another advantage bending has is the fact that elbows are made swept, reducing friction and noise in the pipework giving your installation a longer life span.
- The hot water cylinder was positioned close to an approved point of discharge, as required by the building code.
A big thanks to Nick for showing attention to detail and completing an installation that not only looks good but is safe and sound.
